Painters and Patriots Summer Camp - Grades 1-3
William Paca House and Garden, 186 Prince George Street
Annapolis's youngest artists and historians will explore the beauty and history of Maryland's capital during Historic Annapolis’ one-week summer day camps. Each morning our artists will use the stunning two-acre William Paca Garden for inspiration as they are introduced to world-famous artists and try their hand at imitating each artist's technique. Art projects may include making an impressionistic painting in the spirit of Monet, creating an Andy Warhol-inspired Pop Art watercolor, or making an Eric Carle collage. Afternoons will be spent exploring Annapolis' Revolutionary War history through the eyes of a different patriot each day. Activities will include colonial paper-making, printing, and cooking; visiting private and public historic sites; and a sail on the Schooner Woodwind. This session runs June 24 through June 28 and is designed for children in grades 1-3. Space is limited to 15 campers. Make your reservation early!
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
